[Deck B, Communications Bouy Magazine, USS Charon.]
Rhiana had climbed into the small compartment in the Communications bouy Magazine where matinance was preformed. It was a tight fit considering not many people acutally went down into the fireing control mechinisims but she had a goal. Her recent activities of upgradeing the Charon's Communication systems along with Ensign Draci,Leuitenant Xavier and Leuitenant Sakkara had inspired her to contenue to work on the ship's components. While she doubted they would acutally need the Communications Bouys on their mission into the nebula she would not take any chances of incurring the wrath of t'Rehu.
She pulled the small Engineering kit that she had once borrowed nearly a year ago from Commander Caulhon and started to remove the coverings of the Bouys. Carefully removeing their normal power cores and small trancivers and sitting them aside in the container she had brought with her, she then pulled out several copies of the minature devices she had been useing to upgrade the shuttle crafts and the flight control officers pannel and slowly worked them into the houseing of the Bouys. As she was working alone this time she was extra careful to not make a catastrophic mistake. Her Tricorder recorded her progress as each EPS connection was restablished cheerfully chirping whenever a dangerous overload was about to occure.
Rhiana couldn't help but think her recent coma had been a blessing in disquise as her new postion on the ship had opened a world of possiabilties to her. While Chief of Operations was a prestigous postion and one worth fighting for, Chief of Communications had allowed her to work on the communication systems without interference. Of course the devices she was wireing into the Federation systems would boost their powers to the required level they also had a more insidious purpose. Each of them were designed to send copies of all transmissions from the Shuttles, the Charon, and the communicaton's bouys back through subspace directly to Tal'Shiar command on Romulus. Of course this would show up on the Chief o Communications console on the bridge, but only on her console and she was not about to inform anyone of this sideeffect of upgradeing the Communications array.
Rhiana smiled to herself as she slid back out of the access hatch to the bouys and pressed the button on the control pannel to activate the systems. Their soft hum pulsed to life as she turned the frequency up to the two hundred terajewls that would be required to power the devices. She nodded to herself as the board went green. "Ah it's such a lovely sight to see a job well done." she said to herself in the lonely dark of the bouy control room. Turning from the pannel she moved out of the control room and headed back toward the Turbolift feeling pleased with herself."Main Bridge." she said to the computer control as she stepped inside the doors. As the lift rocketed off toward her destination she couldn't help but feel smug.
"Ah Rehu if only you knew..Always and forever...For the Empire." she said to herself softly before stepping out onto the bridge and resumed her role.
