Location: Deep Space Nine, Bajoran Sector
Timeline: Six weeks prior to arrival on USS Charon
Changing into the new dress, she stepped out of the dressing room, looking to see that David was still where she had left him. "David?" She said softly, wanting his opinion.
Turning his head back towards her, David's face quickly transformed into a wide smile. "I love it," he said with a slow nod.
She gave a smile. "I think I need one new thing. I'm not sure when the next time I will be able to go shopping like this...." She said looking at herself in a mirror.
Still leaning against the counter David nodded, "Get what you want and I'll have it charged to my account."
"You know you don't have to do that..." Aubrey said with a smile on her face. Of course she was going to let him, but it made her feel better to protest it.
"But I want to," he answered quickly. "It'll make me happy to make you happy. So just let me do it and deal with it."
"I'll deal." She said with a soft smile before she went back into the changing room to redress back in her light blue dress. Coming out with the black dress on a hanger, she brought it to the counter where the shopkeeper was.
After making the arrangements to have the charges sent to his account David looked at her and smiled, "Now what?"
"Back to Quark's?" She asked leaving the dress with the shop keeper who would deliver it to her guest quarters.
"Sure," he answered as he reached down to take her hand back into his. "I could use another drink or two."
Taking his hands into hers, she leaned into whisper into his ear. "Or three or four..." She didn't know when the next time they would be able to have down time to be irresponsible.
Shaking his head slowly he gave her a very peculiar grin, "Not this time. There are something...'things' I'd like to do now, and having too many drink would just delay it too long for my tastes."
"Let's go to Quark's and we will see how we're doing after a drink or two." She said with a smile.
"I can agree to that," he replied, wondering if she had understood his rather forward insinuations.
"I'm not sure if we would manage to get through many before we headed back to one of our quarters." She knew exactly what he meant.
Moving through the crowd he pulled her along behind him. "I'm sure we can manage a couple before other things become priority."
"Testing our limits, are we?" She had to admit, that they hadn't gotten much time at all together when they were on the warrior.
"At least a couple hours' worth of our limits, anyways," he replied with a wide grin. Time for intimacy of any sort had been at a premium of Warrior, especially after the senior staff had all been restricted to their quarters. So he was looking forward to spending some quality 'alone time' with her.
"Let's test how long we can last." She said they walked into Quarks, getting a table in an out of the way area.
Following her he waved for one of the Ferengi servers to come over before moving to take a seat across the table from her. He could never get enough of looking at her, and would take every opportunity he could get.
Once the server came, she looked up to the server, before she looked to David again. "I want a tropical dream- and I want it very strong." She wanted to get more than her share in the fewest possible drinks. She didn't know how long she could resist the urge to have time alone with David.
David ordered that which he had been enjoying previously, asking for it only as 'Morn's drink.' The next time he ran into the Lurian he would have to get the actual name for the drink. Turning back to Aubrey he smiled at her, "I could get used to this, I think."
