[USS Charon] SD 240909.21 || Joint Personal Log ||LtCmdr Foster & Lt Xavier
=/\= Sickbay, USS Charon =/\=
Lieutenant D'Vana Xavier left the Ready room with a beeline for the one man she's cared about in quite sometime. Since her father really. She wanted to see Ch'Tan he was more important to her then the XO of this ship. When she walked through the doors of sickbay she asked, only for Ch'Tan's room and before the Nurse could stop her her she was walking through the door.
She stopped and just stood there in the doorway, staring at him in that bed pulling away from the nurse every time her arm was grabbed. after all she hadn't told anyone who she was so even if the CO had called down to them that didn't mean anything if she didn't give them her name...
Ch'tan heard the commotion coming from the area around his door, the repeated requests for a name by the nurse and what they wanted, the figure that was standing in the door was one he had longed to see, beside him, his father stood up slowly and moved towards the door.
"I can only assume by the way you charge in here, that you are D'Vana, daughter of Kahlestal and the chosen mate of my son," Ch'Krang growled slowly as he moved, "While I understand you wish to see him, I would ask you to calm yourself, he is still weak after the attack," he added slowly before smiling gently, "However, he has just woken up, so I believe he would want to see you."
D'Vana looked from the one person she wanted to be with more then anything and tried to compose herself even as she looked to whom she assumed was to be his father. "Yes, I'm Lieutenant D'Vana Xavier, Daughter of the house of Kahlestal." D'Vana growled in response looking him in the eyes knowing Klingons valued strength and respect above all else.
The nurse that had been tugging at her arm finally stopped and moved away recalling the name of the Lt, that the Commodore would have said would be visiting. "you are his father?" She asked carefully trying to control the impulse to push passed the man standing in her way to go to the man she loved...
"I am Ch'Krang, son of K'Alith," he replied as he continued the smile and bowed his head, slowly he stepped to one side, "I shall go back to my ship for a short time Ch'tan, if you need me, have them hail the Ya'Vang," he said before tapping a device on his belt and barking a short order in Klingon, he disappeared in a flash of orange and left the two half klingons alone.
D'Vana didn't wait for him to finish his order and dematerialize she rushed to Ch'Tan's side and into his arms, however was careful when she pulled him into a hug. "The fury took so long to get here I thought I'd never see you again."
Holding his lover in a tight embrace, Ch'tans face formed into a look of happiness as he kissed her on the neck, "You will always see me again D'vana," he said slowly as he broke the embrace, "As long as you are alive I refuse to be beaten," he chuckled as he laid back gently.
"What happened to you? I leave you on your own for alittle while and you end up in sickbay?" She asked looking at him shocked just greatful he was awake and getting better. "I see I wont be able to let you out of my sight again." She growled teasing him...
"I was suprised!" Ch'tan chuckled lightly as he closed his eyes for a second, "I have missed you D'vana, my bed life felt empty without you around, but I did what I told you I would! I found my father! or rather, he found me," he added with a broad smile.
"I'm glad, he seems like a good man someone anyone could be proud to call father." She said with a soft growl and kissed him. She felt guilty. "I should have been here... If I had he'd never have gotten you." She said bitting her lower lip wishing she had been here, instead she had been on the QF...
"If you had been here, he would have got you and then me," Ch'tan replied as he returned the kiss, "I am glad you were not here to face it," he added slowly before kissing her again and smiling, "but for now, you are here, as is my father, you should spend some time getting to know him as I have, visit his ship and tell me all about it," he finished.
D'Vana smiled. "If I do that remind me to wear that Klingon warriors suit you bought me when stationed on the Atlantia." She said with a smile remembering their trips along the Promenade.
"I'm sure father would approve greatly," Ch'tan chuckled as he slid himself up in bed, "When I am well enough we will go together and eat with his crew, they are good men, loyal," he added with a smile.
"I've missed you so, ever since you left the atlantia, I had trouble concentrating on my duty. I would have been next in line for Chief of Security, but Captain Shawe made a wise choice in asking Kairi Thompson instead. You remember her, she was Lieutenant Jg when you were Chief no matter what you could always find her in the Holodeck training." D'Vana said with what sounded like pride in her voice.
"She's Lieutenant Commander now and is engaged to Commander John Kilpatrick. I've been asked to pass on congratulations and well wishes from everyone there on your promotion to XO." She said softly catching him up on what he had missed from the Atty. "I didn't know until I meet with the Commodore that you had been injured at all." She said with a frown...
"That is good news! I will have to remember to send a messege of congratulations back to them as soon as I can," Ch'tan replied as he leaned forward and kissed her on the lips, "I do miss the Atlantia, but I am settled here now," he chuckled.
"They miss you too, but they also understand why you had to move on. when you send congratulations make sure you send a its a baby card as well Kairi's pregnant, I'm expecting any day now she'll have to take maternity leave." D'Vana said softly.
Ch'tan roared with laughter for a few seconds before calming himself, "They certainly have been busy," he chuckled as he pulled D'vana to lie on the bed with him, "I think my father hopes to become a grandfather soon, so he has someone to teach," he added with a chuckle.
"I'm not exactly opposed to the thought of children, I'm in a safer department here I'm an assistant Engineer." She said with a soft smile and kissed the man she loved more then her own life.
