Dylan had spent most of his day off in the ship's store, looking for the perfect gift. He picked up a small pendant and smiled at the small decorative holo recorder set in the center. He smiled and nodded to the shop keeper and gave the man his credit chip.
He carefully wrapped it and placed it in his pocket. He made his way to Lizzy's quarters and pressed the chime.
Lizzy had just gotten out of the shower. she had the sonic shower rigged to run water on days where she just wanted a shower rather then a sonic shower. She hadn't really been expecting anyone so she was in a towel and a robe when she answered the door and smiled at Dylan when she saw him.
"I hope im not interrupting anything important." He said with a smile and a kiss. He looked at her and wondered if she knew what day it was. He held out a small silver box and handed it to her.
Actually she was very surprised by this. She looked at him puzzled not sure what he was presenting her with a gift for. "Nothing important, though it seems I'm forgetting something." She said with a soft blush.
"Well maybe I should have waited till tonight, but I couldn't." he said motioning for her to open it. The holo recorder had in it a holo of their first date. Specifically their stroll in the garden. "Happy anniversary." he said, already amazed it had been six months.
"Oh Dylan." she breath wondering how on earth she could have forgotten and how she had ever found such a kind and considerate man.
"I thought you would like a reminder of our first date." He said with a kiss as she activated the holo disk in the center of the pendant.
She smiled softly. "I love the reminder, but I don't need one to remember our first date." She said softly and kissed him back grateful for the gift. She didn't know what to get him though...
He saw the look on her face. He new she was having trouble finding him a gift. He wasnt the easiest to shop for. "Why the long face now?" he asked her.
"I never know what to get anyone for this kind of thing. So how about I let you tell me what you want?" She asked moving aside to let him in her quarters.
He smiled at her, towel and all. "Is that a trick question? he asked with a wink." He thought for a moment. then smiled. "I know. I love jazz, specifically the big band era jazz." he said giving her a hint.
"Computer, locate and play Cmdr Dylan Marcus' Favorite Jazz band." She said softly stepping closer to him and kissing him on the lips. "Mm guess it wasn't a trick question." She grinned.
He grinned as the computer began to play the Jazz. He took her by her free hand, the one not holding the towel closed; and swung her into a dip and kissed her. The towel nearly coming undone as he let her back up with a smile and a wink. "I was thinking of Having a quiet dinner with My Parents. " He said. "Well as close to my parents as I can get to." he said with a smile.
"So your parents are programed to like me?" She asked sweetly trusting that wasn't the case. Though she hadn't had time to tell her parents much about Dylan. she did have letters to send though, just hadn't had time to. "Shall we head to the holodeck or did you have something else in mind first?" She asked and kissed him on the lips sweetly.
"They aren't programmed to like you, The computer has simulated their personalities based on their psych profiles and my own correspondence with them." He kissed her back gently holding her in his arms, letting his hands creep up her thighs. "Well maybe the holodeck can wait just a little longer" he said
Lizzy smiled. "now that's music to my ears." she purred seductively and kissed him again softly starting get him out of his clothing...
