[USS Charon, sensor pod]

Nathanial looked at the three men. "Ok its the best shot we have, Thomas, head up to the dorsal sensor array and begin to program it, Shenn work your magic to find us the power we need, Galen can see what you can do to protect the sensor pod from any potential damage. I will gather the current field size and location and keep the data flowing to Thomas."
Nathanial felt like he was missing something, but he had no idea what, part of him kept telling him that it was just the situation that was causing the worry...

"Yeah, about that Ensign." Shenn shrugged with antennae turning inward, his expression that of a man with lots of things on his mind.
"It's not so much the power that'll be an issue - I'll pull it from life support if I have to. But if one of you gentlemen wouldn't mind shutting down all the pointless equipment in the area where our pretty little bubble is sitting - I mean, it's not like you're using it anyways - I won't even have to do that. In fact, I can give you enough juice AND you won't have to hold your breath."
That only left the little matter of having to climb through about half a dozen Jeffery's tubes again, but what the heck..

Replying to Nathaniel's orders Thomas stated a simple "Aye, Sir" listening to Shenn's solution to the power issue was as practice as it would be effective "I'll shut down the un-required equipment around the array." Turning on his heel, Thomas took his leave for the array.

Nathanial watched Galen head off without acknowledging the order, he knew though that the Ensign knew what he was doing, and as such Nathanial shrugged it off as the ten plus hours stuck in a sensor pod would make Galen feel kind of situation.

Setting the dorsal array to commence the inverse tachyon sweep was straight forward enough; convincing the input values to use the array itself rather than the work in tandem with the main deflector required some rigorous manipulation of the control algorithms. Once the levels of inverse Tachyon radiation and scan resolution we reduced to the levels he needed rather than their nominal functions the control panel once again began accepting the requirements of the proposed plan as the revised safety issues were more tolerable.

Thomas intended the alterations would make the array act more like an inverse tachyon generator. Instead of sensors emitting and receiving; the equipment would resonate the generated particles between themselves rather than emit anything out into space as intended. It would take a few moments as the emitters buffers would build up the desired amount of radiation before releasing it through the physical array rather than be emitted into space; there also capacity to angle the projection which would allow the particle to be sufficiently targeted.

After completing the alteration he moved to the equipment around manually shutting down the local un-required equipment before finding the Ensign to report his progress. "The array has been modified and it can all be managed from the sensor controls on Deck C when we are ready."

Nathanial had just finished re-scanning the 'bubble' when Cadet Clipper's transmission came through. "Roger that Cadet, please maintain your position to monitor the array during the attempt."
He headed to the sensor control station on Deck C to finalize the settings and field sweep that would be required to make this work.

Well, Shenn certainly wouldn't mind a sonic shower right about now. Two hours should about do it. Or maybe three. Squeezed into yet another maintenance hatch, he pulled another isolinear chip and the inaudible vibration of the power flow made his antennae tingle.
There we are…
With a most satisfied huff, the Andorian slid the chip into it's new place and then pushed himself out of the hatch before tapping his comm badge.
"Shenn here, Ensign Doyle. You got all the juice you'll need and some to spare. Just do me a favor and watch the flow if you can or we'll have a pretty mess to clean up later."

"Roger that Shenn, Please stay with the generator during the attempt, and keep an eye on our power."
A few seconds later Galen also transmitted advising that he had made some changes to the environmental controls to assist with protecting the pod from any potential damage. "Roger that Galen, please maintain your position at the console to monitor the pod and the environmentals."

Nathanial looked at the console in front of him, he was unsure if this would work, but they were running out of time, well to be more precise, time was running away from them! "Stand by everyone, Tachyon burst in 5...4...3...2...1...Burst"
Nathanial activated the burst, the Pod began to hum, no it was more than a hum, it was as if the Pod itself was vibrating at a microscopic level.

Thomas eagerly watched both his tricorder and the arrays control panel. So far the array was holding out as intended. The pod around him was humming, as if resonating regardless his focus was on the equipment in front of him.

The buildup of radiation wasn't as efficient to what he had hoped, taking the tricorder he checked the beam, it was focusing to the designated target, the environmentals and the array were working well with one another.

The generator was humming happily, especially with all the extra attention it was getting from a determined Andorian engineer. Despite the fact he was balancing this sweet thing on the edge of an overload, there was a grin on his face and his antennae were swinging back and forth, trying to drown out the noise of the vibrating sensor pod so he could focus on the power flow.
Just as he decided it was time to snatch his favorite phase compensator from the toolkit, a high pitched whine made him cringe. Dammit.

Sheen jumped to the side and just so avoided the splinters of metal and plastic that were blown out of an overloaded conduit. This should NOT have happened. Fine, reroute again. Not like he was going anywhere.

Nathanial kept the burst going, the readings were changing, but only slightly, he tapped his comm badge "I am increasing the beam intensity by 25 percent, be advised, beam intensity increasing by 25 percent in 3...2...1...mark"
