[USS Charon] Sd:240911.11 || Multi JL Back Log || CSEC: Cmdr Marcus, ASEC: Cmdr Falcon, ASEC: Lt. Dlya, ASEC: Lt Acel'a, SFMC !st Lt. Brent.

<<OOC: This log takes place before Marcus is ordered to the planet>>

=/\= Holodeck 1 - 1450 hours =/\=

Commander Marcus sat in his office and looked over efficiency reports. He wasn't happy with a few of them. Things had begun to slip aboard ship when it came to security. Some of his men just didn't seem to be all that on top of things when it came to dealing with the other half of the crew, on both sides.  As he read further down, he noticed that The Captain's personal guard was ruffling feathers again.

The logistics of ensuring that every officer was trained to the same High standard was a full time job, especially when there were so many different styles of training represented in the group. Commander Marcus had decided to send a memo to all Security Officers to attend a department wide training drill today at 1500 hours. He stood on a stage, in a holographic representation of the rec lounge. Holographic crew were going about their business as the security Officers made their entrance.

First Lieutenant Brent had been busy making sure that all of the marines on board were acting properly and drilling them into the ground.  The fact that the previous night after he had been given his 'Battlefield' commission he was celebrating quite well in the lounge with several of his former comrades and now subordinates till the wee hours of the morning getting quite intoxicated, had nothing to do with his sour attitude which was being vented at his Marines.  As much as being a officer had its perks, oh gods a room to himself complete with a shower, he now had to distance himself from the men that he would lead.  He couldn't form any attachments to them anymore and what he had already must be severed.  If need be he would have to order those men into a firefight they might not win in order to save lives.  Brent could afford no emotional ties.

That was to be expected though and Brent felt that he could deal with that change.  It was this paperwork.  Mounds of it.  Requisition orders.  Readiness reports.  Tactical Patrol Simulation Reports.  He even had an orderly now.  An orderly!  Someone he could send to get coffee for!  None of that Klingon shit, real Earth coffee.  Maybe even a bacon sandwich....  Perhaps later.

When Brent had seen the memo to go to training drill he almost felt relief.  The relief was tempered by the idea of spending the afternoon with some Fleeter Officers, however it was a way to get out from the PADDs that kept on being delivered to him.  Brent told his orderly where he was going in case he needed to be reached and arrived promptly at 1458 hours and stepped into the holodeck, hoping that this would be a good use of his time away from the PADDs.

About 30 seconds later, Runo stepped through the holodeck doors, taking in the surroundings and noticing the large number of holograms although he wasn't sure how many were actually real. Stepping to one side to avoid colliding with a tall Vulcan with science teal, he accidently stepped through a human female, dressed in civilian clothing. The hologram gave the offending human a light shove which caused the lieutenant to adjust his balance to prevent falling out. "Not exactly the warmest reception but I've seen worse." He gave a slight smile to cover up the fact that he was just almost decked by a collection of light and force fields.

Lieutenant Acel'a was relaxing in the Officers' Mess, when the message arrived, notifying her of a training session, at 1500 hours, in the holodeck. She looked forward, to this because She liked honing her skills and things like this went a long way towards this end. After awhile, Acel'a finished up some business and got herself ready. At 1445 hours, Acel'a arrived and entered the holodeck, nodding to those already there, including Commander Marcus.

Jade had gotten the call and frankly had no idea where to go.  It wasn't difficult to get directions from a helpful wall panel, but it did slow his arrival.  Regardless of the initial annoyance of ignorance, he was able to make it there right on time, which disappointed him since he liked to be late whenever possible.

Stepping into the room, the man carried a clear air of arrogance about him, though his eyes betrayed something heavier.  Guilt?  His uniform was warn loose, the phaser pistol strapped to a thigh holster rather than a waist holster.  He ran his gloved fingers through his short, spiked hair as he eyed those around him.  The holodeck was full of largely unfamiliar faces.  He had barely met anyone, and had not yet even met his direct superior.  No matter.  People didn't bother him and he fancied himself as having something of a warped sense of social personality.  Well, he thought, this should be enlightening.

"Thank you all for coming." Dylan started. " The reason we are here is to address the gap in training between the different groups represented here. Individually each of you are highly trained, as a group, our different training becomes a hurdle.  So, I've set up a series of training drills to help hone our collective skills and help us work more as a unit."

Brent looked around at the other officers here and wondered just what the training deficiencies they might have.  Brent didn't say anything after the Security chiefs little speech after they had mostly all arrived.  He was too used to simply listening and not giving advice yet.  Perhaps it would come sooner.  He leaned over and nudged a holographic woman in the side causing her to phase out.  It drew a smirk from him before he resumed paying attention.

"Where will we be starting at sir?" Brent eventually did managed to come up with a question, hoping that it would shed some light on this little training session he had just gotten himself into.

"The training starts here. This is a representation of a social function. The program will adapt to your imput. There are three sleeper agents in the crowd, two more in other locations. The objective is to locate and eliminate each threat, while ensuring the safety of the captain and her children." he said as he motioned to a holo representation of the family sitting behind him.  "Any Questions?"
