Thomas had returned from Deck B after he quickly made sure those with
him and able we left to get the wounded to better care and while he
went to report his actions to Lieutenant Doyle. He didn't have to look
far; his superior was in the control room.

"Sir, we were overrun at the magazine. I decided to abandon it after I
set the controls to launch the probes and set them to fire the burst."
Thomas reported his actions to the lieutenant, disappointed he had
failed in his task; however he maintained some resolve as the ensign
was convinced he had been out of alternatives.

"You did what?"
"To stop the Romulans preventing us from launching the probes I
elected to launch them." He rephrased the last part of the sentence to
clarify his actions.
"Well the Romulan warbird out there is about to be lit up." He said
stating the obvious, I wonder if anyone will see it, he thought to
himself.

"We will talk discuss this later Ensign, right now see what you can do
to scan down the effects of your... launch."

Nathanial would have normally have been happy with the news of the
probes being launched, but considering their current situation, and
that he had promised the captain 20 probes for when she needed them...
he did not look forward to telling the captain that they left the lid
off and all the 'fireflies' have gone.

"Aye Sir." Thomas responded to the lieutenant's remark, with what was
going on around them the Ensign would be happy to have all the talks
he wanted if they were still in one piece. Making his way over the
sensor control panel to his dismay he found it was locked out, well
more precisely the main computer had been locked out.

Pulling out his tricorder Thomas hoped the console controls were
capable of operating without the mainframe. As the tricorder ran the
scans it had to do he wondered when the lockout occurred and what it
may have done to his probe launch.

Pulling open the front panel revealing a series of very relevant
circuits and Isolinear chips Thomas began scanning out which ones were
directly responsible with interfacing with the mainframe.

Pulling out one of the chips he was greeted with some success the
terminal disconnected from the ships main systems which was ok, he
wanted to use it to interface it with the Class II Probe that had been
brought in.

The interface was a quick success however like all good probes it was
detecting enormous amounts of data, with no LCARS to help him decipher
it Thomas ran one of hands through his red hair before beginning to
sift through and refine the incoming information from an unreadable
torrent into something more manageable.

Their work was interrupted by a call from Cadet T'Cuat.

"Sir, umm, you should see this..."
"What is it Cadet T'Cuat?"

Nathanial grabbed the PADD before the Cadet could respond. He looked at it.
"What the heck is that? Have you got it triangulated?"
"Yes sir, its on Deck 4, Section 1"

Nathanial turned to Garben, he felt like he was an automated robot
continuing to ask the same question. "Garben, where's my Comm?"

"Right here sir" He quickly replied "The comm badges should link up
though the pod, but I am unsure how long it will hold."

"Good work" Nathanial tapped his comm badge "Doyle to security, anyone there?"

Jade tapped his combadge, frankly annoyed at being interrupted. "Yes
Lieutenant, what is it?" He had just come from the crew lounge and
had armed himself properly in the meantime.

"We have an unidentified being moving though deck 4, currently in
section 1 but heading to" He turned to T'Cuat who held up four
fingers. "Section 4. Whatever it is, it is causing disruptions to the
Charon's subsystems, and if it continues, well it can't continue."

Jade grinned to himself. That was a pretty important-sounding problem
to take care of and his curiosity was peaked just a little bit by the
idea of tracking down something mysterious. "Alright, I'm on it."

"Do anything in your power to stop it commander."

"I have no problems doing exactly that, Falcon out."

He was back in the Jeffries Tubes…again, but at least he was doing
something productive. "Focus, find your target. Just like Dalia
taught you. Don't think about anything else." His thoughts sounded
through his head as he remembered those people most influential in
making him the man he had become.

What he found, when he found it, or her rather, was anticlimactic. He
had expected Romulans, but instead found an astrophysicist. "You?
You're what's messing with Charon's subsystems?"

Aayla spun around and fired the two Iso Taggers in Jade's direction,
startled by him and Jade barely avoided the blue arch shaped shots.
"Sorry, Commander." Aayla said as she moved towards him, putting the
tagers in the holders on her thighs and readjusting the black bandages
around her head.

Jade caught his breath as he narrowly escaped being hit by two blue -
something's. "What the hell was that!?" Jade took a moment to
compose himself. "Well now that you've introduced me to your
whatever-that-is, I have news. You're glowing." He grinned,
purposely pausing after that comment to watch for a reaction, perhaps
a comical one.

"That is to say, you're glowing on the Charon's internal sensors."

"Ah so thats why the PADD didnt work, hmmmmm, well I suppose its
malfunctioning then, I turn it over a copy to Science and get it
analyzed. And these." Aayla said as she pulled out the Iso Taggers.
"Are standard Vree EXPID force Iso Taggers, they fire arch shaped
isoliner tags that can either kill, stun, or tranquilize. Naturally
the Vree always have theirs on kill." Aayla laughed. "I give you the
replicator SPECS once we get out of this."

Jade nodded and, despite being in no position to make a call such as
this, given his past life, said, " you know, you're peculiar. Lets
try not to take my head off next time. Anyway, you've caused quite a
stir up in where ever it is Doyle hangs out. Really I have no idea.
Never met the guy. Also, you did know we've been invaded right?"

"My carpet is a green mess Commander, and why else would I have two
Iso taggers and a stealth suit?" Aayla asked.

"Yeah well whatever that thing is made of, its driving Doyle, and the
Charon, crazy. Once we turn it off we can get back to taking down the
intruders. Or at least I can.

Aayla nodded. "Commander check if there is a red light flashing on my
back." Aayla said as she turned around and held her hair up so that
the Commander could check.

Thomas looked at the results of his sifting through the data on the
PADD. He had double checked it, but the data remained the same.
"Lieutenant" Thomas started
"Yes Ensign?"
"It's the Romulan ship, its still outside…"
Before Nathanial could reply Cadet T'Cuat jumped in.

"Sir, the anomalies on Deck 4, they have stopped."
Like clockwork a comm signal came though.

"Jade here, anybody up there home?"
"Nathanial here, how did you go?"
"Wonderful. Solved the problem, some sort of stealth suite was the
cause, but we're all set now."

"A stealth suit you say? Roger, I can have science look at it later
has it being contained?"
"Yes it has"
"Excellent work Commander."
"If you could call it work," Jade replied.

Nathanial turned to Thomas. "So what happened to our probes?"
