[USS Charon] SD:240912.12 || Duty Log || ASEC, Lieutenant Acel'a "On The Hunt"

=/\= Various Decks - USS Charon =/\=

Acel'a heard Marcus' communication and quickly headed for the Bridge deck, where she met other officers. They positioned themselves to properly defend the Bridge. After seeing the Bridge was adequately defended, Acel'a headed out, to hunt for intruders, she was armed with both a Type II and Phaser rifle, Type IIIb. As soon as she heard noises on one deck, she flattened up against a bulkhead and peered around the corner, to see who it was.

It was a knot of Romulans, clearly intruders, as they were armed to the teeth. Keeping as much of herself behind the bulkhead, Acel'a took out two before the other two opened fire, with their disruptors. Several shots ricocheted of the bulkhead, as Acel'a maintained return fire, to keep those two at bay. Without warning, a disruptor beam grazed the side of her folded pantograph, throwning Acel'a's head into the bulkhead, violently.

Acel'a shook that off and resumed firing, taking out another intruder, as reinforcements arrived and finally took out the last one. Acel'a joined them as they continued looking for more intruders. One officer asked about the damage to her pantograph, but she told them the intruders needed to be dealt with before she could even think of going to Sickbay. The safety and security of the ship came first.

The three officers continued making deck sweeps, engaging any intruders they ran across. Fortunately all three were crack shots, thanks to diligently attending phaser drills and practicing on the range, in the training holodeck. Acel'a was grateful for her dedication to honing her skills. Others weren't so fortunate, as the corridors were littered with fallen crewmembers, who were either surprised and/or outgunned.

Acel'a took her PADD and texted updates to Commander Marcus, at each "lull" in the skirmishes. During yet another encounter, Acel'a's pantograph as hit by a wild disruptor shot, before she finally took the shooter out, once more. This time, part of the device's "head" was gone and the remainder bled heavily, drawing concern from the others. She did her best to ignore the searing pain, to focus on routing out intruders.
