1 Hour Remaining...

With one hour to go Quentin took a deep breath, the nerves and tension building up inside churning in his empty gut making it somewhat painful to move. He tapped on the console, it was ready. It was all ready. Taking the hypospray he dosed himself up with the last of the stimulant and tossed the hypo to one side; angry that he had now run out. Tapping the console again he opened a link to the Charon. "Array Site to Charon – It's time Commodore" he said slowly waiting for the response and for the Commodore to then issue the instructions to the relevant departments. There was a strict timeline of events to follow and one second off would cause destruction of monumental proportions.

With a little help from the transporters Lizzy had returned to the shuttle with Robin to join Erin and Evelyn. Lizzy had donned a suit to joined Evelyn tethered to the shuttle and help with the safe destruction of the omega molecules in the harmonic's chamber. All they had to do was wait for the order...

'Finally.'  Shiarrael leaned forward as her anticipation reached its climax "Helm, bring us towards the control platform."  As the Charon moved towards the planet pieces of the maker's network began to break away and tumble into space "keep us steady Ensign Tyrax."  Her eyes moved to Dicari who was back at OPS "Ensign reroute all available power to the deflector dish."  Shiarrael pressed her commbadge "Ensign Rufo, Lieutenant Johnson- it's time.  Cadet Doyle will be coordinating science's effort on the bridge.  Confer with him if you need anything."  Shiarrael nodded to Doyle and then leaned back in her chair.   

"We're ready here Commodore." Rufo said looking at Eve to make sure and with a slight nod from her, "give us the word and we'll be in action." Galen added. Eve added some things to the program making some of the operations automated so she could concentrate on the deflector dish beams. 

"Yes ma'am," he responded as he began shutting down all non-essential areas of the ship in order to ensure that there was enough power.  He started to reroute all that power to the deflector dish.

Nathanial nodded back to the Commodore and turned to face his station, it was the first time he was stationed on the bridge, and at such a crucial time as well. He checked his station, everything was working, he was getting relays from the ship and the planet and it all looked good. 'Lets keep it that way' he said to himself under his breath, while keeping an eye on the information in front of him.

Lizzy did a quick double check with Eve and looked to her friend, getting a thumbs up and a grin. +taps+ "My teams ready at the Harmonic Resonance Chamber." +taps+ Lizzy responded to the charon...

Ch'Krang watched as the Charon moved into position near the platform before he nodded to one of the officers on the bridge, "Commodore, I assume we are to begin?" he said before leaning back in his throne.

Shiarrael heard Ch'Krang's voice over the comm.  She looked at Haruhi and shook her head letting the Lieutenant inform the Klingon commander to wait.  The battered Vor'Cha needed to conserve its energy until the exact moment.  She pressed her combadge "Ensign Rufo begin chronometric particle generation- once the concentration has reached its peak activate the inverse tachyon beam."  She paused and then glanced at Haruhi again "Lieutenant inform the Klingons to activate their tachyon beam once we do."  Looking at the view screen Shiarrael felt a surge of excitement but she calmly massaged the fabric of her armrest to keep it contained "when the platform breaches and breaks away from the planet I want you to monitor the Anyon field Ensign Doyle.  This is critical."

"Yes Commodore." Galen said nodding to Eve to start the final preparations which wasn't a lot but just some minor things. While Eve was doing that Galen was monitoring the particle generation concentration ready to give the order to activate the inverse tachyon beam. Hopefully the Klingons are smart enough and quick enough to do it when they need to.

Lizzy waited excitedly She couldn't believe she was going to get to see the omega molecules even as they were being destroyed, if only for a few minutes.  Once it was caught they had a few minutes to get out of there before it was safely destroyed...

Nathanial looked around him, everyone was abuzz, he knew that exhaustion was abound, but at this pivotal moment, it felt like the exhaustion had been lifted.  "Yes sir" He responded to the commander. His back quivered ever so slightly, he had to monitor and make sure that a process that would take only a total of a few nano-seconds, went off without any problems, 'well it could be worse' the thought to himself, 'I could be on the planet'.

Making final checks to the array site on the planet Quentin was ready and waited with baited breath. This little stunt was either going to go one of two ways and he dreaded to think what would happen if it was the latter. He had run out of stimulant; his body was a wreck and still he held in there in this frozen hellhole. Hopefully, someone up there liked him and this would work without any complications. "I'm ready Commodore… let's begin" he said over the open communications link.

"Ensign activate the beam on my mark 3, 2, 1 mark." Galen said in a unusual bored sounding tone.

"Tachyon beam activated." Eve said looking at the monitors adjusting the power sources to make sure they weren't going to lose power. "Commodore this is Ensign Rufo the beam is activated and power levels are stable." Galen said.

"Thats the beam, Fire!!" Ch'Krang roared as his bridge crew sat transfixed, they had never aided in a scientific matter before, "Hold the ship steady! keep that beam stable!"

Quentin monitored everything on his console… so far so good he thought to himself as he tapped impatiently on his console panel. He had precise timing to follow so had to continue to wait for a few more moments until that rift was big enough for the planet to pass through. He hoped that all these calculations of trajectory, spatial expansion and velocity had been right because if they weren't… he shook off the bad thoughts and focused through the exhaustion. A thought then dawned on him… what if there was some form of structure on the other side… he shook that off too for it was time.

It was a thing of beauty.  Shiarrael was nearly mesmerized by the scene but she kept her senses attuned to the events on the bridge.  The cloud of chronometric particles glittered in the dark backdrop of space.  When the two tachyon beams hit it the cloud swirled and then split at the center.

Quentin jabbed at the console activation button at exactly the right moment set of the chain reaction of explosives up on the orbital platform. The tentacles broke away with loud fiery flashes and fell to the planet surface below and with great force the platform was flung out of its orbit and hurtled in the direction of the resonance chamber. There was a flash of bright light which could only be explained as the teacher leaving and creating some extra force for them. Now they didn't have long for the Anyon field to be generated to protect subspace from what was to come next.

Time slowed down for Nathanial, his heart began to race. The explosives began, he watched his console start up the pre-determined Anyon filed generation from the deflector dish on the chamber. Boom boom. His heart pounded. The Anyon filed was created, if anyone had been able to see it, it would have been a sight of beauty, two dimensional space ripping apart the boson's and fermions from three dimensional space. Boom boom, the field was stable, all his calculations were on the dot. The platform shifted and disappeared off normal sensors, Nathanial froze, where had it gone? A nano-second later it was back on sensors. Boom boom, the Anyon field destabilized, the platform was in the chamber, and was still intact. Boom boom, time seemed to speed up again, the entire Anyon process had only taken four tenths of a second, but to Nathanial it had felt much longer, "The platform is safely in the chamber" he stated directing his comment to the commodore and Quentin.
 
Pressing another console button Quentin watched on his monitor as he set of a reaction within the Omega chamber to destabilise and partially detonate it; this was something so risky that he held his breath as it happened. One error, no matter how small and this would end prematurely. The explosion and light show that followed was stunning, awe-inspiring and deadly. The particle collapsed and flocculated as it came closer to the resonance chamber and with one almighty flash a wave of white energy was sent hurtling towards the already moving planet. This was it… this was the crunch time and the last time he would have communications with the Charon until the other side. "Commodore… as soon as that shockwave hits the planet we will be flung into the rift… my communications link will be severed and wont be restored until we reach the other side… if this doesn't work… its been a honour serving with you and the crew and on this ship" he said, his voice echoing on the bridge as he closed the communications line...
