[USS Charon] SD241003.24 - Plot Log "Inbound Chaos" - Vaek'Riov tr'Sahen

<<here we go, the Romulans are finally arriving.  Currently working on a JL for the AT that will be out soon, Cat and Chaya will organize a JL for those of you remaining aboard the Charon>>

[IRW Endless Sky]

Itsak sat silently in his throne, eyes focused on the view screen.  The volatile nature of the region they had entered meant their cloaking devices were much less effective- not that he expected his cousin to be oblivious of their presence.  A little insect on Charon had already whispered to them that the Captain was apparently aware of the Vulcans' treachery.  Oh poor Shiarrael- I will truly enjoy this moment my cousin.

"Sir, the Yy'a'arhbeu are reporting that the Charon has found a ship!"  The tactical officer looked up with a smile "it is Vulcan."

Everything was falling into place but Itsak had to wonder what tricks Shiarrael had planned.  He would be a fool to underestimate her, even with such overwhelming force they would need to be cautious to the extreme.  If she managed to destroy the Vulcan ship then it meant that all their work would have been for naught- and he couldn't let that happen "prepare the Gai'Shian, I want them aboard that ship as soon as we are within transporter range.  Bring us in."

Now the Charon would discover them.   It was hard to mask the neutrino emissions of a dozen warbirds- to keep their presence masked Itsak had ordered the Yya'a'arhbeu ahead to tail the Charon while the rest stayed just far enough out of Charon's range to be just background noise.  They would have to move in and crush all resistance immediately to capture that ship intact.

Hanaj stood next to him watching the display cautiously.  He jerked his hand away suddenly and moved to the tactical console relieving the officer there.  He was always a hands on officer "it appears the Charon has beamed a small team aboard the Vulcan ship- there must be survivors."

Itsak laughed "she could so easily have destroyed that ship.  It would be beyond our grasp then, but no, she must send a team aboard to rescue survivors.  How interesting.  The Federation has certainly softened her."

"To our advantage."  Hanaj added "your cousin used to be called Riov Yhisu if I recall correctly.  She held a reputation of brutality- both towards her crew and her enemies."

"Don't underestimate her just yet.  I still saw fire in her eyes- the fury of a thrai is still there burning but that feral blood has been diluted by the seed of a fvai.  If we reach out to pet her she will maul us."

"Hrm."  Hanaj twisted around to look at Itsak "it appears she is leading that away team.  One must wonder what she is thinking."

Itsak bit his lip.  What is she thinking?  He wondered.  This was problematic.  "How long until we reach them?"

"Three minutes…but it seems they have detected us.  The Charon appears to be raising her shields."

"Too bad."  Itsak grinned "have the Yy'a'arhbeu take up a position between the Charon and the Vulcan ship and lock and tractor beam on the Vulcans.  We can't let them wreck our prize."

"No, indeed not."  Hanaj replied.  "Order sent."

"Soon, very soon."  Itsak leaned forward.  This would be quite exciting.
