Dylan stopped and couched as he peered around a corner and down the next corridor. He couldn't spare teams from their own area's so he was for all intents and purposes alone. Save for one other who had found him wondering down the hall around debris.
"Damn Rommie bastards. You would think they would play fair and not make me chase them all over this ship." He said sarcastically. He thought bout his proposal to Lizzy and hoped he survived this long enough to make good on that.
"So what's the plan?" Kai O'Brien asked having found him in the corridor. She was acrossed from him getting a look at the romulans...
"Whats next is we make these green blooded bastards regret the moment they set foot on this ship." He said with a grin as he pulled out a flash-bang grenade and set his C-90 defender to stun.
They could hear muffled shouts as one romulan spotted the grenade, but was too late.
"You got it boss." grinning, she waited for the flash bomb to go off. She smirked the green blooded bastards as he put it were no longer able to see anymore, but She and Dylan could. She moved to the side into the corridor giving him some cover fire to get in there and kick some ass.
Dylan nodded. He started to fire as he broke from his position and started down the corridor. His Pulse rifle hitting two square in the chest as a third moved out from a corner and nearly took Dylan's head off. He ducked and brought his rifle up to block the next blow and swept the Romulan's leg. and brought his rifle butt down hard on the man's skull.
"That makes three nill in my favor." he winked and looked to the other Security Officer.
"Damn I'd hate to be a romulan on your bad list." She said with a smirk.
"Who said that was my bad side?" He said with a smirk. "You should see me when I'm really trying to hurt them. I was a lot worse during the war. He said."
[I hate to be the spoil sport, but there are more Intruders two sections away and in greater numbers.] Alice said.
"Boss!" Kai yelled moving to push him out of the way getting grazed in the shoulder by a disruptor blast. "Nice warning Alice, think you could have mentioned they were heading this way, babe?" Kai growled at the hologram treating her more human the hologram, she wouldn't have growled at just anyone.
[I did inform you that my internal sensors are not operating at full capacity did i not?] The Avatar replied evenly.
Dylan had to think fast. He tossed his rifle at the nearest Romulan and charged him as the man caught the weapon. Marcus growled as he knocked the man off balance and threw him into another. before taking a knife blade in the abdomin. He barely felt the wound as he continued to seeth with fury, moving into hand to hand with the Intruders.
Kai jumped right in with him. grabbing her own dagger she wasn't about to let them get Dylan. She growled and moved in her dagger moving fast slicing the throat of a romulan as she swung her rifle at another causing it to crash into his nose. She saw Dylan take a knife in the abdomen and renewed her efforts to take them down. "Alice! A little help here if you can get to Dylan at all!" Kai growled setting her rifle to a wide disbursal beam and shot without aiming to take down as many romulans before her as she could.
[I can try if you like, however; he does not seem to want to stand still at this time] she replied in a mildly amused tone for a hologram.
"Marcus was too busy replaying the mission from Rigmari to concern himself with the pain or loss of blood from the wound in his stomach. a wound that was nearly the same place he had been stabbed on that earlier mission during his SSF days.
Kai, just barely missed being stabbed as well. however they got her in the side rather then the abdomen. Hissing she brought the romulans face to meet her knee before spinning with him and sending the other romulans blade into the neck of one that came at her.
The romulans had the upper hand, both in strength and in numbers. It was clear that they would not win this in a sheer test of strength. He backed up and nodded to KAi to do the same. he wispered knowing that Alice could hear him. "There is an air lock on this deck behind us right?"
[10 meters yes]
"good when I give you the signal I want you to open the air lock and buypass the safeties to open the inner doors as well."
[but...]
"Just do it"
Kai had no clue what he was planning but she followed his lead limping backwards towards him holding her side with one hand and her rifle with the other.
"You may want to hold on to something" he said as he pushed her behind him and nodded to a bulkhead handle.
The Romulans sneered and spoke in their native tongue obviously thinking they had the upper hand. Dylan smiled at the lead Romulan and waived. "Thanks for stopping by, but Time for you to go back home now." he said and nodded to Alice. "Now!"
THe large air lock doors opened as klaxons and alarms sounded over the area. the resulting blast of air rushing out the open doors was enough to catch the Romulan's off guard and blow them out into space. He held on as long and as hard as he could till the air had all escaped the corridor. He must have blacked out Because the next thing he knew He opened his eyes and Alice was looking rather odd at him.
[welcome back commander] she said.
Kai had held on tightly, Grabbing Dylan when his fingers slipped and he was no longer holding on to anything. She grit her teeth at the pain of holding him and herself while the corridor emptied trying to pull him out as well. when the doors were closed they both fell to the floor. Kai panting heavily watching as Alice welcomed the commander back. "Alice think you can give us a lift to sickbay?" She asked with a smirk.
[I'm hardly a hover sled] she said with an indignant tone. [Though I have already taken the liberty to contact sickbay to send a medical team here as soon as possible. I am also getting reports that the other teams are pushing the romulans back as well]
"That's my girl." Kai said with a smile ripping the sleeve off her uniform and moving to press it to Dylan's stomach. "This is going to hurt boss." She said but they needed to at least slow the bleeding before medics got there or he might not make it.
"Romulans, why is it every time I get stabbed its always romulans?" he asked with a chuckle, then a sharp wince in pain.
"Because you forget to duck." She said with a grin..
"Thanks O'Brien, your concern for a dying man is heart warming." he said with another grin. "Though It could be worse, at least this time I didn't get blown up."
"Exactly, just nearly sucked out the air lock." She grinned back at him...
"Still better than being blown up." he said. "You know Alice even looks better than I feel." he said coughing.
[yes I do.] she said sarcastically
"Alice how long before that medic team gets here?" Kai asked.
[my internal sensors are not at peak efficiency, but..] she said as the medics came around the corner and busily tended to the two wounded officers. [ I would say now] she smiled.
