[USS Charon] SD 240912.26| Joint Duty Log Part II| AEO & NPC's: Repairs to the Engineering Bay

~Engineering Con't~

He moved up beside her and grinned."My lips are sealed Ma..Si..Lieu...D'Vana..."At least you got her name right Milo..get a grip yesh your not some stuttering cadet you know. He focused and gripped the base of the ruined panel."On three D'Vana." he said and counted out."one....Two.....THREE!!" and with that he pulled for all he was worth.

She pulled with him when he said three and the panel came off in their hands with almost as much trouble as it had given him alone...

Milo grunted and nearly fell back when the panel came off the broken pool table."Wow that thing was on there.." he said and quickly begun scanning the inner components to see what all was trashed within."Woah..twenty Isolinear chips are completely fried...another ten are burning out at double the pace." he reported after a few moments.

"That means 30 Isolinear chips need to be replaced. any gel-packs?" She asked him as she dragged the panel over to the pile of debris...

Milo knelt down and started scanning the gel back deposit. As he scanned he watched the powerful Klingon drag the ruined panel away, 'yesh klingons are tough' he tought to himself while he waited for the scan to complete. A few moments later the Tricorder let him know the findings.

"Seven Bio-gel packs are hemerrigning, two more are completely empty. The EPS relays are also overloaded and the power exchange matrix" he said to her and motioned for the others to come and start replacing the damaged components. "The Romulans sure did a number on us." he said after a moment.

"You can say that again, the PetaQ's know their way around phaser fire." She muttered setting to work removing the damaged relays and other components while the engineers working with her set to work with the repairs...

"Still the Captain kept us together huh...She didn't seem to mind the fact she was fighting her own people." he said as he continued to remove the damaged systems. He threw the ruined Gel-Pack into the debris pile.

"She's a federation captain. however if given a choice she probably would have tried to settle it peacefully if she could. However I get the distinct impression that she is on the outs with her people at the moment." D'Vana said speaking of the captain of the ship with the respect do a warrior, rare among klingons to do, not that she would let the romulan commanding officer know that...

Milo stopped what he was doing and looked over at the Half Klingon and tilted his head. "I don't mean to talk out of turn or anything D'Vana but I think it's really impressive that a Klingon would give such a compliment about a Romulan officer. I don't mean disrespect or anything but I thought there was so much bad blood between your peoples that things would never get better." he said to her impressed.

"If that were the case there would be no Klingons on this ship half blood or otherwise. the fighting has to stop somewhere but if you even let it leak that I said anything of the sort about a romulan you wont be happy with what I decide to do to you." D'Vana smirked at him softly to let him know she was actually teasing him...

The young Ensign grinned over at her and winked."Your secret is safe with me Lieutenant. Of course...I may need a favor back someday.." he said jokingly. He of course wasn't really attempting to bribe the senior officer he was just being friendly with her.

"Depends on the favor when that day comes." She couldn't suppress the smile. She tossed the last of the debris into the pile. "D'Vana to the transporter chief pile of debris ready for recycling." She said as the pile of debris was transported to be recycled...

Milo watched as the debris dematerialized and grined."Alright!! Something we can mark off the to do list." he said happily. When looked over at D'Vana's puzzled face he toed the deck a bit."Sorry..the commander said the Transporters were down..Apprently someone got them working again." he said grining as he placed the last of the replacement Chips into the 'pool table'.

The console blinked to life as the repaired EPS conduits relayed the power from the chips to the components that required them. Milo used his tricorder to check the progress."Lieutenant relay number seven, the one right beside you, It had a fault in the primary buffer circuit." he said to her as he started to replace the Bio-Gel-packs.

"What kind of fault?" she asked reaching for her tool belt and another isolinear chip to start helping...

"There is a three second delay in the relay system. Meaning of course that the EPS conduit is trying to feed back into itself. You might want remove the circuit and replace it Lieutenant." he said smiling to her to keep the mood light."Other wise of course we are probably all gonna blow up in the next five minutes...and that is so not on my to do list." he said to her seriously and joking at the same time. They after all had plenty of time to stop the thing from going off.

"Mine either." She said and moved to start removing the circuit so she could replace it and the EPS relay. "contrary to what Klingons believe it is not a good day to die." She grinned after all the battle was over so why would it be a good day to die.

"I've always thought that tomorrow is a good day to die personally." he grinned at her and nodded to the question he knew usually came after that. "And yes when tomorrow comes it is no longer tomorrow so you have to say once more that tomorrow is a good day to die." he chuckled.
