Hey Guys,
I want to inform everyone that the Charon will be closing its doors as a sim by the 24th of September. I spoke to Jazza a few weeks ago about this and some of you privately. The sim has not been a sim for some time. This is entirely my fault- I have not had the time to contribute to it and should have handed it off to someone a long time ago- but that time has clearly passed.
I want to apologize to the remaining and previous crew-to all those whose expectations of logs and activity I have failed. I am truly sorry for wasting your time. I hope you find good homes in UCIP because any sim would be blessed to have any one of you.
I will also be sending out a finale novella of Shiarrael's last storyline in UCIP. The collection of logs I have been holding onto will be condensed into a PDF file (currently about 70 pages) and sent out before the sim officially ends. I hope many of you will choose to remain on the list long enough to receive that.
As for the Charon this will not be the end- simply a new beginning. It will continue as a small writing group of friends. A lot of our lives have become busy and our schedules make it difficult but some us of still have the itch. If any of you would be interested in joining this small group just send me an email- it will not be sim structured but simply free writing. Or if you simply wish to observe it for nostalgia.
Finally I want to say thank you to I-Chaya (Nicole DeSance) for without her the Charon would have been nothing long ago. She is best writer I have ever had the pleasure of working with and better person. It is because of her that I was inspired to do animal rescue work and help founded the Alabama SPCA...in just 7 months we have saved over 300 animals alone (I guess she is also responsible for where all my time went!!! :P ). Anyways- thank you for a great time everyone. It was certainly fun. I also hope you will read the finale- it is a culmination of our joint work over the past 3 years and perhaps my last post as a member of UCIP. Who knows if I will ever have the time for this again.
